Philianthropy
In the spirit of the Town of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech's motto Ut Prosim, the Gamma Iota chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma has dedicated itself for years to serving the New River Valley community. From group participation in VT's biggest service events to self-organized projects around Blacksburg, our chapter gives brothers, pledges, and alumni alike the opportunity for outreach and service. These are a few of the many service opportunities we provide:
-
Weekly tutoring services in the CLC for students in chemistry-related classes
-
Highway cleanup on Craig Creek Rd. for Blacksburg's Adopt-a-Highway program
-
Chemistry Demos
-
Relay for Life
-
The Big Event
Many of our service projects were introduced not only by brothers, but by pledges as well! If you are interested in participating in events like these and giving back to your community, consider rushing Alpha Chi Sigma. Additionally, if you have any suggestions or opportunities for outreach, contact us using the emails listed at the bottom of this page!
